I bought 2 pairs of pretty plain shoes so I can try some DIY blinging.
One glossy black pair, and one bleh brown pair.
This post deals with the brown pair, as I haven't decided what to do with the black ones.
As usual, I couldn't wait to start, so I only thought of taking a before picture once I'd already started drawing. But you still get the idea:
BLEH!!!!
After:
These two pictures were taken with different cameras, hence the tone difference. But look how cool they came out!!!! I used a gold permanent marker and some rhinestones.
I'm so pleased!!

Spray-bleach rocks!!
I have been MIA for a couple of months, not that anybody's noticed... Poor me...
Anyway, I have however been quite busy. Not just working (which has been crazy), but crafting too.
The first thing that comes to mind is this shirt. I saw a post on Pinterest about spraying bleach over a design onto a shirt.
Sounded super simple... and it was!

The shirt with the stencil. I got the stencil with a craft magazine. I think it's supposed to be for cake decorating.
I proceeded to spray a mix of bleach and water over the stencil and shirt. I mixed the water in because the bleach I bought was a gel-like consistency.
It worked like a charm!
The darker blobs were still a bit wet, once they dried it was more uniform.
Looking at it now, the sprayer bottle I used produced perhaps a too-fine spray. I'll work on it...
